What is Behavioral Risk Management?

Behavioral Risk Management is an extension of the field of risk management. It refers to managing risk factors in the workplace relevant to organizational behavior as well as organizational and industrial psychology. It deals with the risks of employees’ and organizations’ workplace behavior that has negative impacts on an organization’s productivity. It also deals with episodes of behavioral healthcare and their treatment cost. Also addressed are lifestyle behaviors that can cause serious health conditions and the costs associated with treating these conditions. The focus is on how workplace behavior impacts organizations and workplaces as well as how to properly alleviate inappropriate behavior’s negative effects.
