What is a Blended Workforce?

Blended Workforce consists of both contingent or temporary employees and permanent, both full-time and part-time. Businesses’ use of such workforces has increased substantially during the past decade in an effort to control labor costs and adjust staffing levels to changing market conditions. Contingent employees often also possess specific, highly valued skills that might only be needed for project work or special assignments. This makes them a better option for both small and large businesses versus hiring a full-time employee. . Many companies turn to employment agencies to fill these need, avoiding the problems with recruiting and tracking two sets of employees.
